An orchard is an area dedicated to the cultivation of fruit trees. The orchard at the Botanical Garden of Naples houses some cultivated varieties that were economically important in the past but are now almost extinct, originating from various locations in southern Campania. Therefore, its function is to conserve these varieties for possible reintroduction and for the reconstruction of their historical use.
